Sculpture in Context at The Botanic Gardens, Dublin

Ethereal Blooms

I am delighted to say that I have a piece of work in Sculpture in Context at The Botanic gardens, Glasnevin in Dublin.

“Ethereal Blooms” is now gently turning and catching the light in The Alpine House at this year’s Sculpture in Context at The National Botanic Gardens. I’m so grateful to the committee and judges for their dedication in bringing this beautiful exhibition together which celebrates 40 years this year.
This piece evokes delicacy, movement, lightness, and an otherworldly beauty, blooming with dreamlike flowers, branches, and roots. Inspired by forms like blood cells and blossoms, Ethereal Blooms invites reflection on our deep connection to nature, the solace it offers, and the fragile balance it holds.
Created by hand in porcelain ceramic, each element is suspended from an acrylic disc with beads, wire, and line, floating above the Alpine House plants at a height of 80cm.
If you’re in Dublin, I highly recommend visiting the Botanic Gardens in Glasnevin with the gardens and gallery alive with sculpture, open daily until 10th October.
